Guidelines for Service Hours
Spring 2003
- Voting delegates will
be credited ten (10) hours of service for serving at Nationals. This will
be broken down into five (5) hours towards the fall semester, and five (5)
hours towards the spring semester.
- If you went to educational
seminars, or volunteered at the National Convention in some capacity, these
hours may be coutned as Chapter-organized service hours for this spring semester.
- Any fundraising project
that will benefit Alpha Phi Omega or a future volunteer project or charity
will be counted as chapter planned hours. No more than five (5) hours from
fundraising will be counted towards your required twenty-five (25) hours.
- Rush/recruitment events
are considered service to the chapter and will be counted as chapter-planned
hours. No more than three (3) hours from recruitment/rush events will be counted
towards your required twenty-five (25) hours. However, ruch/recruitment fellowship
events will not be counted as service hours.
- Once you have completed
the mandatory twenty-five (25) service hours, any additional service hours
will be added to your total hours.
- No more than ten (10)
hours will be credited for any ONE chapter organized service project on one
day.
- Twenty (20) of your required
twenty-five (25) hours must be completed during chapter-organized service
projects. The other five (5) hours may come fron outside hours.
- When you have participated
in a service project, whether it is chapter-organized or outside hours, you
must submit those hours via the chapter website. The deadline for submitting
all Spring hours will be Monday, May 12th, 2003.
